Brief Biographical Sketch

Stu Senneff’s 37 plus years in Law Enforcement and private security includes 12 years in private security, investigations, consulting, and expert witness testimony. He served as a career Special Agent with the FBI for over 20 years where he was a Headquarters and Field Supervisor and an Instructor at the FBI Academy. Prior to his FBI service, Stu was a police officer with the City of Miami and, subsequent to his FBI retirement, also served with municipal and county law enforcement agencies as a Chief of Police and Under Sheriff (Chief Deputy). In private security, Stu was the District Manager of Pinkerton Security and Investigations Services, Southeast Florida Division and has served as a consultant for 50 State Security, Service. He is the president and owner of Universal Consulting Associates, Fort Myers, Florida, and has also served as Chief of Security for Collier County in Naples, Florida, where he was responsible for security of Courthouses, internal investigations, threat analysis, terrorist crisis response plans, security surveys and the overall security of six hundred Collier County buildings and properties.

Stu’s academic credentials include an Associate In Science from Marion Military Institute, a BA in Psychology from the University of Miami and an MA in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University. He is also a graduate of the FBI Academy and has attended thousands of graduate level hours of seminar, in-service and specialized instruction subjects. As a result, Stu brings broad expertise gained from academic, law enforcement, and private business experiences. He also holds a lifetime Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from the American Society For Industrial Security (ASIS). Stu has utilized these qualifications effectively in criminal and civil investigations, as an expert witness and consultant in law enforcement and security matters. As a consultant to government and private sector clients in threat and risk assessments and security surveys, he developed a customized format specifically tailored to meet all aspects of each client’s security requirements from natural disasters to possible terrorists’ incidents. Past clients have included, law firms, state risk management divisions, Native American Tribes, shopping centers, police departments, municipalities, railways, private security agencies, and distinctive gated communities. Stu was also contracted as a consultant for the Florida Tri-County Commuter Rail Authority to establish a single protocol for the investigation of vehicular and trespasser accidents along the railway’s 72 mile corridor. In addition to teaching Security Administration Management at the graduate level at Webster University, Stu has instructed extensively throughout his law enforcement and security careers, including two years at The FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia. Currently, he is an Adjunct Instructor with the Texas A&M University System, National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center’s Public Works course, Preparing for And Responding to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)/Terrorism.

Additionally, as a certified instructor for the State of New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy and through the organization he owns, Stu trained law enforcement officers throughout the State of New Mexico. Some of the disciplines he taught include general police instruction, S.W.A.T., defensive tactics, unarmed self-defense, firearms, techniques and mechanics of arrest, decisional shooting, and police driving instruction. He is a licensed private security and firearms instructor in the State of Florida, and has been certified as a Verbal Judo instructor.

Stu’s professional and insightful risk analysis and assessment has been fundamental in providing government and private sector clients with risk analysis and security surveys that are cogent, comprehensive, efficient, and effective.
